Why this one

Cottonwood (Populus deltoides) buds release a sticky golden resin in early spring, what people sometimes call 'balm of Gilead.' I collect from trees along the Pojoaque River and infuse them into sweet almond oil for six weeks. The result is a green-gold body oil that's good for tight muscles and dry skin.
