What’s in it

  • Greasewood / creosote bush (Larrea tridentata) BLM land north of Santa Fe
  • Coconut oil
  • Olive oil
  • Tallow local
  • Lye
  • Distilled water

Why this one

Greasewood (Larrea tridentata) is the most Southwest-smelling plant in the Southwest. It's the smell you can't quite place when you step outside in Tucson or Albuquerque after a summer afternoon rain. We extract it slowly in a low-heat infusion and then cure the soap for eight weeks before it leaves the shop.
